Contact me

I loved teaching first graders at St. Bernard’s, an independent school in Manhattan. I worked there for 19 years, drawing on my BA in education from the University of Vermont and my Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University.

I took a break to raise my children, and when I went back to work I tutored, focusing on teaching learning disabled and gifted children, and at the same time coaching students to improve their executive functioning. The comprehensive certification in Orton Gillingham I earned during Covid underpins my approach to structured literacy. A crucial part of my work is empowering parents to advocate for their children in public and private settings.

When I am not tutoring, I love to bike and hike with my husband, bake sourdough bread, read and explore the Bay Area.
